Escalada no Oriente Médio: ataques entre Irã, Israel e EUA agravam crise global

In a recent televised address, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian rejected the United States’ demand for unconditional surrender, labeling it as an unattainable dream. Concurrently, he apologized for Iran’s attacks on neighboring countries, attributing them to internal communication failures. These remarks come amidst ongoing Iranian assaults on Gulf Arab states, while Israel and the U.S. continue their airstrikes on Iran.

Iranian forces launched attacks on Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates early Saturday, with no immediate end to the hostilities in sight. The U.S., under President Donald Trump, has approved a $151 million arms sale to Israel, reinforcing its stance of no negotiations without Iran’s surrender. The Iranian ambassador to the UN has vowed that Iran will take all necessary measures for self-defense.

In response to the escalating conflict, Bahrain experienced air raid sirens as Iranian strikes hit the island nation. Saudi Arabia reported intercepting drones and a ballistic missile targeting key sites, while Dubai activated air defenses following explosions. The conflict has led to flight suspensions at Dubai International Airport, the world’s busiest for international travel.

Qatar’s Energy Minister Saad al-Kaabi warned of potential global economic turmoil if Gulf energy exports are disrupted, potentially driving oil prices to $150 per barrel. Analysts have criticized Iran’s actions as a strategic miscalculation, exacerbating regional tensions and shifting the conflict’s focus.

Saudi and Pakistani military leaders met to discuss countermeasures against Iranian aggression, highlighting their mutual defense pact. Meanwhile, reports suggest Russia is providing Iran with intelligence, though not directing its use. President Trump reiterated his stance on Iran’s surrender, promising U.S. assistance in rebuilding the nation once new leadership is established.

The conflict has resulted in significant casualties, with over 1,230 deaths in Iran, more than 200 in Lebanon, and several in Israel. American forces have also suffered losses. The Iranian government has hinted at mediation efforts, while discussions on leadership succession continue.
