A tragic incident occurred in Pires Ferreira, Ceará, where a woman lost her life after being struck by a rock that fell from a waterfall on Sunday, February 22. Maria de Jesus Paiva, aged 39, was near the waterfall’s edge when the rock dislodged and hit her. Despite the swift assistance from friends and other visitors who used an improvised stretcher to carry her out of the water, Maria succumbed to her injuries after being taken to a medical facility.
