Natal Launches Direct Flight to Montevideo, Expanding South American Connections

Starting this Saturday, March 21, a new direct flight route from Natal, Brazil, to Montevideo, Uruguay, will commence operations. This service, operated by Gol Linhas Aéreas, will be available on Saturdays during three specific periods throughout the year. Currently, Natal also offers flights to two other South American destinations: Ezeiza and Aeroparque Jorge Newberry in Argentina.

The flights from Natal to Montevideo are scheduled to depart at 4:20 PM and arrive at 9:20 PM. Conversely, the return flights from Montevideo to Natal will leave at 10:15 PM, reaching their destination at 3:35 AM. The service will operate during the following periods: March 21 to April 4, July 4 to July 25, and December 5 to December 26.

The Empresa Potiguar de Promoção Turística (Emprotur) is actively promoting this new route. On March 23 and 24, they will conduct a promotional campaign in Uruguay, visiting travel agencies to boost tourism to Rio Grande do Norte. According to Raoni Fernandes, president of Emprotur, this initiative aims to address a long-standing demand for better connectivity expressed by travel operators and their clients.
